The Tomie dePaola Film Festival

The Red River Theatres in Concord, New Hampshire, asked Tomie to suggest movies for a Saturday morning film series for children and families.

Here is the schedule for his movie suggestions:

"National Velvet" will be shown on June 15, 11:00 a.m.

"Red Balloon" and "White Mane" on June 29.

"Lassie Come Home" on July 13.

"The Gold Rush" on July 27.

Second Grade Musings

Two second grade classes in Dracut, Massachusetts, wrote letters.

One child wrote with a question and some advice. "Do you like the mikdonels in New Hampshire? And dont forget to take a shower so you dont smell."

Another child has a wish. "I like to draw me and my family spending time with me because whenever I want to play with them, they have other things to do. I wish I had a little sister."
